LEAD
Inspire and engage others in meaningful volunteer service.
Every Hands On Miami volunteer project relies on the leadership of trained Volunteer Leaders (VLs). VLs agree to be the contact person for individuals interested in the project, to help educate participating volunteers about the project and to report pertinent information from the project to HOM staff. The VLs can count on an additional 1-2 hours of preparation outside of the actual project. All VLs are background checked for the safety of our volunteers and the clients we serve.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER LEADER (VL)
If you are a Hands On Miami volunteer and you are looking to take your volunteerism to the next level, here is all you need to do to become a Volunteer Leader (VL):
- You must be a current Hands On Miami volunteer.
- You must have attended a minimum of three volunteer projects as a volunteer.
- Click here to sign up for our informative, short, fun Volunteer Leader Training.
PLEASE NOTE: Background checks are now required of all VLs. After you have completed training and the forms, you are required to do fingerprinting either at our office or at a local police station and submit a $36.00 tax-deductible check, PAYABLE TO: Hands On Miami. If you are doing the fingerprinting at our office, please bring the check, cash or money order with you to the training.
