Hands On Miami makes it easy and fun for busy people to give back to our community. You don't need any special skills. And you don't have to make a long-term commitment. All you need is a desire to make a difference.
Each month, Hands On Miami organizes more than 80 short-term community service projects including: serving the homeless, the elderly, at-risk children, animals, people with disabilities and the environment. All HOM projects:
- Take place outside of regular working hours
- Provide a direct service to those who need help
- Do not require a long-term or on-going commitment
- Are team-based
After attending a brief orientation, volunteers begin to receive a monthly calendar of volunteer projects with a variety of schedules and time commitments. Volunteers sign-up for the projects that most appeal to them based on their personal interests and schedules. It's that easy!
