Our Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) is a members-only youth program for teens,
ages 13 and older who are residents of Miami-Dade County. YVC members take an
active role
in the development of YVC community service projects, submit project
ideas, and help build the YVC membership as they recruit friends to join them at
the variety of fun, rewarding projects offered for teens.
After completing a YVC application (including signature of a parent or
guardian) and attending a quick one-hour new member orientation session, teens
are free to sign up for as many projects and activities as they would like!
Projects are typically held after school and on the weekends every month
throughout the year.
The YVC is a fun and exciting way for students to volunteer together, to get
those much-needed community service hours, and most importantly, to feel like
they make a difference in our community! For additional questions, including scheduling a one-hour orientation for
your class, youth group, club, or team, please feel free to email
youth@HandsOnMiami.org.
Hands On Miami has many ways to get involved for people to get involved in
the Miami-Dade community… including family volunteering available through our
Flexible Calendar and Community Bridges programs! Whether you volunteer with
other youth through the Youth Volunteer Corps, or with a parent/guardian at a
Flexible Calendar program or with the entire family at a Community Bridges
project, community service forms verifying your participation are available on
request at the end of the project.
