HandsOn Miami Day 2015

HandsOn Miami Day is HandsOn Miami’s Signature Day of Service and annual fundraiser. This serve-a-thon empowers volunteers to be part of a concerted effort that places people at the center of change at various sites throughout Miami-Dade County on a single day. Our goal for HandsOn Miami Day 2015 is to inspire, equip and mobilize 500 volunteers in simultaneous hands-on action across 8 project sites. Similar to a walk-a-thon, we challenge participants to raise funds for – and awareness of – HandsOn Miami by soliciting donations from friends, family members, colleagues and coworkers. In order to reserve a slot at the project of their choice, a volunteer will pledge to raise at least $25 to participate. 100% of funds raised through HandsOn Miami Day go toward ensuring that the 20+ monthly volunteer opportunities provided through HandsOn Miami’s core programming – our Volunteer Opportunity Calendar – remains inclusively accessible to any/every person interested in becoming involved in service in Miami, throughout the year, at no cost.
