HELP OUT: Pisgah Pantry
Come lend a hand at the Pisgah Pantry - Mt. Pisgah's Food Pantry! Volunteers are needed at the Pisgah Food Pantry to help with sorting donated foods that are picked up from partner agencies, sorting, rotating stock and boxes in storage area. Volunteers will help with final preparations for, and serving pantry clients, on distribution day. Volunteers will also help with cleaning up distribution and storage areas by sweeping, mopping or breaking down boxes and disposal of packages and trash. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety! Please wear long pants or jeans, a t-shirt (no strapless shirts or tank tops), and sneakers are preferred. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early for a brief orientation about the volunteer opportunity from the Project Leader. The Pisgah Food Pantry serves over 500 families each month. Please note:
- Volunteers must be able to stand for long periods.
- Volunteers may be asked to lift and carry items that weigh up to 40 lbs.
