Build Day: KaBOOM! Community Playground
Kaboom! In conjuction with the Major League Baseball Players Association and Room 2 Bloom are building a community playground. This community playground will benefit children in an underpriviledged community that does not have access to affordable play. The community play ground will have no cost age appropriate play for children aged 2 – 12. We will need 5 volunteers for the registration table to assist with getting volunteers signed in for the day. 6 to 10 volunteers to assist with food service and services in the VIP room for the Major League Baseball players and other VIP guest. 30 volunteers for Prep Day 1 to assist with the preparation of the play ground equipment. These positions are mostly labor intensive, but will have some positions that do not require labor. Prep Day 2 is to tie up lose ends that aren’t completed on Prep Day 1. Build-Day is the day where the actual building of the playground will take place. There will be activities for children of volunteers that decide to bring their children out, there will also be a vision screening bus on site providing no cost services to children.
