Project Leaders Needed for HandsOn Miami's MLK Celebration Weekend
HandsOn Miami will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by hosting a series of high-impact volunteer opportunities that will inspire, equip, and mobilize more than 500 volunteers to take action to effect positive change and help to realize Dr. King's "Dream" in our Miami-Dade County community, and we need your help to pull it off! The keys to the success of HandsOn Miami are the Project Leaders who are inspired and equipped to take on greater responsibility in leading projects and mobilizing and managing other volunteers. All HandsOn Miami volunteer opportunities are led by a trained HandsOn Miami Project Leader who ensures that volunteers are welcomed to their project site, informed about how their service will benefit the community and have access to all of the resources needed to successfully complete the task at hand. Simply put, Project Leaders (PLs) are the "heart" of HandsOn Miami! Additional Project Leaders (PLs) are needed to help us lead the volunteers we will rally to join us during the MLK Day Celebration. If you are 18 years of age or older and are interested in defining, refining or sharing your leadership skills, HandsOn Miami wants you! Join us for a brief training session to become a HandsOn Miami Project Leader and share your passion for service with others. *Leaders as young as 13 can take on a leadership role as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. **HandsOn Miami Project Leaders are able to lead projects as their schedules allow and choose the projects they lead based on their interests – we’ll never stick you in a project that you don’t have a passion for or interest in!
