Miami Goombay Villlage Party
This is a small community event that needs assistance with event set up, kids art zone, content distribution, event break down, cleanup. Expected capacity – 300 people The “Miami Goombay” is a celebration of cultural expression that embraces the strong legacy of a Bahamian-rooted community. Throughout the one day festival, the rhythmic sounds of cowbells, drums, and whistles will fill the air, while residents parade in colorful, energetic costumes. Authentic Bahamian and American cuisine align the streets. The festival will take visitors on a journey across the ocean, reflecting the harmony of cultures between the Bahamas and the African American community of Miami-Dade County.
