Description: As the hurricane season approaches, help our most vulnerable populations, senior citizens and people with disabilites, prepare for a potential storm by making hurricane preparedness kits. Easter Seals provides day care for seniors with various levels of Alzheimers. Enjoy the satisfaction of working with these seniors to make hurricane preparedness kits. After assembling the kits have fun and get to know the seniors by playing board games and other activities. This event is part of Mayor Carlos Alvarez's "V" Initiative to support volunteerism in Miami-Dade County.
