Help to revitalize and make Miami a more sustainable city through Urban Gardening. Spend the morning working with plants under the shadow of Downtown Miami in the historic Overtown neighborhood.

Hands On Miami and Roots in the City are really counting on you to be there, so if you sign up, please be sure to attend. If you are unable to attend please remove yourself from the project or contact your project’s Volunteer Leader or the Hands On Miami office to let us know you can’t attend AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Removing yourself from a project you can’t attend allows another volunteer who would like to attend a space to join the project! We don’t want to disappoint those we are trying to serve.

Volunteers should bring work/gardening gloves and wear closed toed shoes (no sandals/flip flops or Crocs). Sunscreen, bug spray, and a hat are recommended to ensure the most comfortable experience as the project takes place outdoors. Parking is on site. Family friendly: minimum age with an adult is 6.
Be advised volunteers should bring work gloves, sun screen,
and a water bottle!
