| Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build 2010 |
Agency: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami
Description:
Blitz Build is an accelerated construction event where 2,000 people will complete ten homes over the course of two weeks. Volunteers, homeowners, and sponsors work together to build not only houses, but also friendships and a better future for homeowner families and the Miami-Dade community.
Volunteers will work on a specific task each day of the Blitz Build. For more information on which tasks will be done on which days, please visit http://www.miamihabitat.org/events/blitz2010.html
No construction experience is needed—just a willingness to help families in need of a decent, affordable place to live.
All volunteers will be provided with breakfast, lunch, and a commemorative T-shirt, and daily raffle prizes will be offered. Volunteers who participate in Blitz Build can also take part in the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day.” Blitz Build 2010 is a Super Bowl Official Sanctioned Event, and NFL players will participate in the construction.
Each volunteer must sign up individually. To do this, please follow these steps:
