Park clean up/ invasive plant removal

Become a North Miami Natural Areas Stewardship Volunteer! Help with invasive species control, pollinator garden maintenance, outreach, community distributions, and more! We fit opportunities to your availability and interests. No special skills are required.

The goal for each volunteer is to empower individuals to create long-lasting improvements for the community of North Miami while connecting with others who share that drive.

Need to know:

  • The minimum age with an adult is 14.  15+ can sign up and take part on their own.
  • Volunteers should dress comfortably for outdoor landscaping/gardening work such as a lightweight long-sleeve shirt and pants.  A hat and sunglasses will make you even more comfortable!
  • Please bring your own gloves, reusable water bottle to help reduce your environmental impact during this project.
  • Bug spray and sunscreen are highly recommended.

COVID-19 Precautions:
  • VOLUNTEERS MUST NOT HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO COVID-19 OR HAVE EXPERIENCED ANY OF THE SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19 WITHIN THE LAST 14 DAYS!
  • Volunteers must wear masks and practice social distancing for the duration of the project
  • Please do NOT attend if you are exhibiting any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell, fatigue, etc.
