RESTORE HABITAT: Vizcaya Adventure
The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is home to mangrove forests and one of the few remaining native hardwood hammocks along Biscayne Bay and your help is needed to support efforts to preserve and protect these ecological treasures.
Volunteers will work alongside Vizcaya Museum and Gardens staff to remove invasive plants from natural areas and explore a side of Vizcaya most visitors do not have access to. If you like traveling off the beaten path this is your project! It’s a Vizcaya Adventure! And you’ll be making a significant impact too!

Need to know:
- Minimum age with an adult is 16. 17+ can sign up and take part on their own.
- Volunteers should dress comfortably for outdoor landscaping/gardening work. Wear sensible lace-up footwear. A hat and sunglasses will make you even more comfortable!
