HELP OUT: Drive-Thru Food Pantry
The COVID-19 has brought many changes to how the Pisgah Pantry serves families in the Miami Gardens area. In an effort to safely ensure the families can receive their necessary groceries, they have created a drive-thru pantry service day. Volunteers are needed to assist with loading the cars to ensure a quick service, with minimal contact to ensure adherence to social distancing guidelines.
Please, sign up to help out if you meet the following criteria:
- Able to lift & carry up to 40 lbs
- Able to stand for long periods.
- NOT have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 within the past 14 days
- NOT exhibiting any flu-like or cold symptoms: fever, cough, sneezing, loss of sense of smell, fatigue, etc.
Closed-toe shoes are required for safety! Please wear long pants or jeans, a t-shirt (no strapless shirts or tank tops), and sneakers are preferred. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early for a brief orientation about the volunteer opportunity from the Project Leader.
