HELP OUT: Elder Tech Digital Skills for Every Day Life

Are you passionate about helping others and bridging the digital divide? Join us for Elder Tech, a heartwarming and hands-on community event where we help our senior neighbors confidently navigate the world of technology.

Volunteers will work one-on-one or in small groups to assist participants with:

  • Using smartphones and tablets

  • Sending emails and text messages

  • Making video calls (Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp)

  • Navigating apps, internet browsers, and more

We welcome English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole speakers. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed!

Ideal Volunteer Qualities:

  • Friendly, patient, and respectful

  • Comfortable with basic phone/tablet features

  • Willing to walk seniors through simple steps

  • Able to offer encouragement and reassurance

No teaching experience is required; just your time, compassion, and a desire to make a difference. Bring your device if you wish to demonstrate features more easily.

All volunteers will receive a brief orientation and must sign a Volunteer Waiver Form (provided after registration). Light refreshments will be served.

Together, let’s empower our elders to stay connected in today’s digital world.
